Jean Quintero De Jesus - Acuity's Employee of the Year!



We are delighted to announce that Jean Quintero has been selected as the Acuity employee of the year for 2017. Jean was awarded this accolade and a £250 Red Letter Days voucher at Acuity’s employee Christmas party, where Acuity’s management team and all members of the Acuity family warmly congratulated her on this fantastic achievement.

Jean Joined Acuity two years ago and is an outstanding team member, who fully embraces and lives the Acuity behaviours and values.

Jean’s positive energy has consistently impressed the occupiers, visitors and other members of the front of house team at the property she works at . She consistently receives fantastic feedback from the Building manager, the occupiers and the wider facilities team.

Jean frequently engages with the team and occupiers by providing cakes and other small surprises which ensures an exciting and positive spirit is maintained within the reception area.

Her creativity and crafting skills transform the reception area when she conducts her annual week long events, engaging all occupiers and visitors with creative games and wonderful prizes.

Jean has been actively supporting Shelter - the nominated charity for our client CBRE - for the last two years . Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness. Jean has manged to raise circa £1,000 through various activities.

Jean has also been very courageous with her fundraising. In April 2017 she did a tandem skydive to raise awareness and funds on behalf of Shelter with the support or participation of her family, friends, the building’s occupiers and other Acuity family members. Her proactivity and efforts have inspired other team members to seek ways to raise money for charity and has impressed the CBRE building management team.

In her pursuit of excellence Jean has achieved the highest average monthly SLA score across the entire Acuity portfolio. She exceeds expectations on site on a regular basis and takes ownership of additional tasks to assist the building manager and allow him to focus on other areas.

During 2017 Jean also progressed many of her personal goals - including successfully completing her CIPD course. In doing so she used Acuity and our parent company Axis Group as her case study. This allowed her to develop a deeper understanding about the broader company functions and afforded her with the necessary skills to propose new projects for 2018. Despite her impressive achievements, Jean remains an unassuming person who is popular with her colleagues and customers.

Her building manager, Wade Standen at 95 Gresham Street said :

“Jean is a great credit to Acuity. I get nothing but positive feedback from the tenants as she is always happy to help.

She not only conducts her basic duties to an excellent standard but is also willing to provide that extra help and assistance with the running of 95 Gresham St. A good example is the `Placemaking` events we hold at 95 Gresham Street where Jean not only comes up with good ideas but she also enters into the full spirit of the events - not many people would come to work dressed as a Witch! If I was on your panel selecting the Acuity employee of the year, I would say you could get no better than Jean”.

Her account manager Arik Benichou said:

“When I was first introduced to Jean in January 2016 I met a lady that was eager to learn, impress and make her role count.

It is a personal joy to assist Jean on her journey with Acuity and provide her with the training and tools she requires to be able to achieve her goals. In 2017 I have observed her putting what she has learnt into action and use her own initiative and creativity to deliver outstanding results. To run a week long CSR event on site whilst maintaining her usual high levels customer service in the reception area is a remarkable achievement and for me, a delight to witness.

Her professional communication and positive attitude even in challenging times make her a fantastic partner to work with , Jean is a lovely team member and a truly wonderful ambassador for Acuity at 95 Gresham Street.
